Here is a Pizza Oven that a year 9 student fabricated as a project for his assessment. This is going to be installed into his school next week. We will be interviewed by a representative from BIG Picture Australia Education and his work will be shown on the web. This is a huge achievement for such a young person, he plans on attending next year to do further training.
As the heating furnace used for the purpose ? Best regards Björn from Strömstad gymnasium Sweden.

ReplyDeleteYou light a a wood fire in the bottom area and then let it heat up until there are hot coals, then put the food in and it only takes about 3mins to cook. Do you have PIZZA's in Sweden?
The best part about my job is that students do a really great job.
OK :-) Really a very nice job , yes we have PIZZA in Sweden. Best regards Björn
DeleteHi Steve, looks great! How are the resource costs covered for these projects? Regards, Glen
ReplyDeleteHi Glen
DeleteStudents pay $200 for the materials as there is a significant cost. this includes fire bricks and insulation
Hello Steve! Great to have their own pizza oven in school. Especially one made by a student. I guess that we dont have anything like it in our swedish schools.
ReplyDeleteYeh
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky to have this option and it helps us with keeping the training outcomes aligned to our industry. Where students are achieving these skills on the job they can be fast tracked in some units of competency.
