This is a view of our training centre in Pinjarra, a rural area 75 kilometres south of Perth. This is a project between the Western Australian Government, a private mining equipmenmt company called Murray engineering and Polytechnic West (Training provider). This project is designed to increase industry involvement in training, as well as utilising industry resourses, such as workshop areas.

It is amazing with internet. I easily could find Pinjarra on a Google map. Am i right that now would be a nice time to visit, you still being in late spring. what is it like just now? I had the chance to visit Melbourne and Wagga Wagga exactly two years ago. I got very interested in Australia. But You are located very far from where I went.
ReplyDeletewestern Aussie, is that a development area? what is in progress? I know that you have good wine from there, is that a main or a big business?
I really like the exterior of your school! Do you have many students? What is the age of the students?
ReplyDeleteHello Ingemar
ReplyDeleteIt is starting to get a little warm and dry here at this time of year. The weather is nice for the beach and boating. Daily temperatures average around 30' Celcius so it is a busy time in our Air Conditioning installation and repair industries. Yes we have a good wine growing industry around our Margeret River, with lots of lovely wineries that are great to visit. Western Australia is leading the rest of Australia for economic growth at the moment, this is driven mostly by our Iron ore, Gold and other mineral mining and resourses industries.
Hi Anna
Thank you. We have 50 students across 4 trade areas at the Pinjarra school, but we have 400 students in the Automotive electrical training school at Perth. Most of our students are between 16 and 25 years of age.
Kind regards / Glen
Hello Glen!
ReplyDeleteDoes your students have any previous knowledge from working with cars or other vehicles before they come to your education?
Hello again!
ReplyDeleteIt has been interesting to visit your blog, it looks like you have a very good education.
About your description of the weather in Pinjarra. I have to say that, as a Swede, I am rather envious.
At least i will wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! /Jonas
